Guizhou’s “Village BA Basketball” Events Boost Rural Revitalization: A Dual Test of Opportunities and Challenges

- Abstract: Taking Guizhou’s “Village BA” competition as an example, this study examines the development of the situation, possibilities, and problems facing the background of rural revitalization strategy through literature review, logical analysis, and case analysis. It is found that the “Village BA” competition has become a typical case of the integration of rural sports, culture and economy by virtue of the advantages of policy support, cultural inheritance and innovation, economic development and industry. However, the event also faces difficulties in raising funds, brain drain, imperfect organization and management of the event, insufficient logistical support and limited marketing and other problems.To this end, this paper proposes countermeasures such as optimizing the allocation of sports resources, strengthening the top-level design of the government, improving the organization and management of events, cultivating and introducing talents, and expanding the channels of fund raising, so as to sustainable development of “Village BA” events and provide practical exploration for the high-quality development of rural sports.本研究利用文献资料法、逻辑分析法和案例分析法，探讨贵州“村BA”竞赛活动在乡村振兴战略背景下的发展现状、面临的机遇和挑战。研究发现，“村BA”赛事凭借政策支持、文化传承与创新、经济发展与产业带动等优势，已成为乡村体育与文化、经济融合的典型案例。然而，赛事也面临资金筹集困难、人才流失、赛事组织与管理不完善、后勤保障不足以及市场推广受限等问题。为此，本文围绕推动“村BA”赛事可持续发展，优化体育资源配置，加强政府顶层设计，完善赛事组织管理，培养和引进人才，扩大筹资渠道，实践探索，为乡村体育高质量发展提供对策措施。

- Abstract: By using the methods of literature review, logical analysis, and case analysis, this study explores the practical significance of the “Village BA” tournament value in the context of rural revitalization for sports event development in Guizhou. The results show that the “Village BA” tournament in Guizhou has many characteristics such as large scale, strong folk festival color, and many holding venues. However, the “Village BA” tournament in Guizhou faces the real dilemmas of lacking effective operation mechanisms, weak branding awareness, and lacking professional sports event operation talents. It is suggested to further strengthen the construction of venues, improve the organization and management of events, enhance the quality of matches, optimize the allocation of rural sports resources, etc., to promote the high-quality development of rural revitalization and rural sports.本文通过运用文献资料法、逻辑分析法和案例分析法，深入探讨贵州“村BA”赛事价值对乡村振兴视域下体育赛事开发的现实意义。研究结果表明，贵州“村BA”赛事具有规模庞大、民俗节庆色彩浓厚、举办场次众多等诸多特点。然而，贵州“村BA”赛事存在缺乏有效运行机制、品牌塑造意识薄弱、专业赛事运营人才匮乏等现实困境。建议进一步加强场地建设、完善赛事组织与管理、提高比赛质量、优化乡村体育资源配置等，以推动乡村振兴与农村体育的高质量发展。
