The Report of 2020 US Presidential Election in China’s New Mainstream Media —Take “People’s Daily”“CCTV news”“The paper” news client push as an example

Abstract:
This article analyzes the selection push and related reports of the three mobile news clients
of “People’s Daily”, “CCTV News” and “The Paper”, and explores how the new mainstream media
uses news push mechanisms to influence the public’s perception and attitude of U.S. election issues.
In the vertical direction, this article observes the presentation of the topic of “U.S. Election” from
three aspects: the frequency of the push, the content of push, and the way of drainage. Horizontally, a
comparative study was conducted on the three media. The study found that these three mobile news
client differed greatly in the number of push reports due to their different media positioning.Meawhile,
the three media reports objectively on negative events in American society, presenting users with a
convincing way of “contradictory conflicts” and “social chaos” in American society. In addition, the
three media still have certain limitations in user interaction and communication effects.
本文通过对《人民日报》《央视新闻》《澎湃新闻》三家新闻客户端的涉选推送及关联报道进行分析,探讨新型主流媒体如何应用新闻推送机制影响公众对美国大选议题的认知与态度。本文在纵向上,从推送频率、推送文本和引流方式三个方面对“美国大选”话题呈现进行了观察。横向上,对三家媒体进行了对比研究。研究发现,这三家因媒体定位不同,在推送
报道数量上存在较大差异。同时,三家媒体将美国社会负面事件进行客观性报道,以具有较强说服力的方式给用户呈现 “对立冲突”和“社会乱象”的美国社会现状。此外,三家媒体在用
户互动和传播效果上仍存在一定局限性。
