• 摘要： 随着元宇宙概念的提出，越来越多的学者围绕传播领域的核心概念“媒介及新媒介”进行探讨，媒介本身的概念是否有所变化以及是否会对人们的社会生活产生影响成为亟需讨论的内容。长期以来，许多倡导关注媒介会对人类世界产生决定性影响的学者被贴上“技术决定论者”的标签。在万物皆媒的时代，社会越来越被理解为一个以媒介为起点、被中介化和参与中介作用的整体存在，也有越来越多的学者重新发掘“媒介决定论”的价值，为污名化的“决定论”正名。本文试图通过对媒介决定论发展的综述，呈现主流的学术观点，并尝试通过可供性视角为理解人与媒介的互动关系提供新的思路。
• With the introduction of the concept of metaverse, more and more scholars are focusing onthe core concepts of communication, “media and new media”. And whether the concept of media itselfhas changed and whether it will have an impact on people’s social life has become an urgent issue fordiscussion. For a long time, many scholars who have advocated that media will have a decisive impacton the human world have been labelled as “technological determinists”. In an era where everythingis mediated, the society is increasingly understood as a whole being starting from, mediated by, andparticipating in the mediating role of media. More and more scholars have rediscovered the value of“media determinism” and renamed the stigmatized “determinism”. This paper attempts to present themainstream academic viewpoints through an overview of the development of media determinism, andtries to provide an alternative perspective for understanding human-media interactions.
