  • Abstract: This study explores how survey records of geotourism resources in southern Sichuan can be used directly in a Tourism Geology course. Materials from more than 60 sites in five cities were reorganized into cases on Danxia landforms, karst, fossils, and mining heritage. Students examine concrete questions such as where access should be restricted, how much use a site can sustain, and how a plan should change when new risks are identified. Geological setting, environmental capacity, and management conditions are considered together when a proposal is prepared. Assessment focuses on the sources of evidence, responses to risk, and agreement between zoning and proposed use. The design is intended to replace the common separation between geological identification and tourism planning and to train students to make conservation and use decisions from site-based evidence.
