Environment and Resource was founded in September 2019 and is a quarterly journal. It is a comprehensive academic publication jointly sponsored by the Beijing Zhongkuang Deep Earth Energy and Environmental Science Research Institute, Zhongkuang Anke (Shanxi) Mining Technology Co., Ltd., and the Key Laboratory of Maintenance, Detection and Testing of Coal Mine Mechanical Equipment in Lüliang City. The journal focuses on publishing cutting-edge research achievements in the utilization and development of natural resources, resource management, environmental science, sustainable development, and the educational and teaching reforms of related disciplines. It is committed to promoting scientific research, enhancing the global understanding of environmental and resource issues, and facilitating the generation of innovative solutions. This journal provides a platform for researchers in both the academic and industrial sectors to share knowledge and experiences, so as to address the increasingly severe environmental and resource challenges today.

Environment and Resource covers a wide range of topics, including but not limited to the following fields:

- Environmental Science and Engineering: Exploring the dynamics and stability of environmental systems, as well as developing sustainable engineering solutions.

- Resource Management and Sustainable Development: Studying the rational utilization of resources and advocating the concept of sustainable development to meet current and future needs.

- Natural Resources, Energy and Fossil Fuels: Exploring the development, utilization and environmental impacts of energy sources such as coal, oil, and natural gas, and advocating sustainable energy management and alternative solutions.

- Agriculture: Soil, water and climate conditions, rural farming, etc.

- Climate Change and Adaptation: Analyzing the impacts of climate change on the environment and resources, and proposing effective adaptation strategies.

- Ecology and Biodiversity: Studying the structure and function of ecosystems, as well as methods for protecting and maintaining biodiversity.
