Ming Dynasty aesthetics of daily life; Floral arrangement art; Primary and secondary school education; Core competencies
Abstract:
Ming Dynasty lifestyle aesthetics, with the art of flower arrangement as its central medium, developed core characteristics of “the coexistence of the refined and the popular, the unity of beauty and utility, and emulation of nature”, becoming an important paradigm of traditional Chinese lifestyle aesthetics. Contemporary art education in primary and secondary schools, which focuses on aesthetic perception, artistic expression, and cultural understanding as core competencies, aligns closely with the essence of Ming Dynasty lifestyle aesthetics: the integration of art into daily life. This paper analyzes Ming Dynasty floral arrangement art as its entry point to analyze its aesthetic implications and educational value, offering a foundation for the contemporary adaptation of traditional aesthetics and the enhancement of art education.
