Theory and Practice of Social Work is an international open-access journal published by SciScan Publishing Limited. It was established in August 2019 and is issued quarterly. This journal aims to reflect the frontiers of social work practice and serves as a platform mainly for publishing case studies, group work, and community practice research, as well as case reports in the field of social work. It prominently showcases new theories, new methods, and new achievements in social work practice, and particularly welcomes new ideas, new interpretations, and new works from young scholars.
Considering that new ideas and new achievements usually involve a lengthy academic publishing and review process, this journal will make every effort to expedite the peer review process, shorten the publication cycle, and simplify the publication procedures, so as to embrace new ideas and new research findings. This journal especially welcomes research results in social work practice, such as case management, case analysis, project evaluation, etc., in order to highlight its goal of striving to be the best communication platform for social work practice.
