基于语料库的中国外宣特色政治词的翻译研究——以2020—2022年《政府工作报告》为例

• 摘要： 本文以2020—2022年《政府工作报告》中的中国特色政治词为研究对象，自建语料库考察其中高频动词和名词的翻译现状，并探究其背后可能的文化原因。研究发现，外宣文本中的一个动词可以翻译为多个英文动词或者直接不译，原因是中文词汇的文化特点以及中英之间存在文化差异。外宣文本中的特色名词，尤其是专有名词，大多采取直译的方法，这一现象说明中国的一些政策已经被大众所接受，成为文化的一部分，也是我国国力强盛的表现之一。
• This paper analyzes the political terms with Chinese characteristics in the 2020-2022 Government Work Report by building a corpus. This paper examines the current translation status of the high-frequency verbs and nouns in Report, and explores the cultural reason. It was found that a verb in the publicity text could be translated into multiple types of English verbs, or left untranslated. The reason is that the characteristics of Chinese vocabulary and the cultural differences between Chinese and English. Most of the nouns in publicity texts are translated directly, which indicates that some Chinese policies have been accepted by the public and become part of the culture, which is also one of the manifestations of China’s national strength.
