• Abstract: With the rapid development of information technology, there is an increasing demand for reading scientific and technological texts in foreign-language and the requirements for technical translation are constantly escalating. Among various topics, artificial intelligence technology stands out as the most popular and has garnered widespread attention. However, at the current stage, the translation volume of books related to artificial intelligence in China is relatively low, which cannot meet the reading demands and the developmental needs of artificial intelligence.Though Reiss's text-type theory has been proposed for quite some time, its application in the translation of scientific and technological texts in China is limited. This article aims to analyze the current situation of scientific and technological text translation in China in recent years and the research status of text-type theory. The goal is to demonstrate the research value of applying text-type theory to the translation of scientific and technological texts. 随着信息科技的迅速发展，外文科技文本的阅读需求量日益增加，对科技文本翻译质量的要求也在不断提升。其中，人工智能技术作为当前最热门的话题之一，备受广泛关注。但现阶段我国关于人工智能领域的相关书籍翻译量较少，难以满足阅读需求和人工智能发展的需要。赖斯（Reiss）提出文本类型理论，这一理论虽提出已久，但在科技文本翻译中，该理论的研究开展较少。本文将分析近年来我国科技文本翻译现状以及文本类型理论的研究现状，展示将文本类型理论应用于科技文本翻译中的研究价值。
