• Abstract: The popularity of street basketball activities in China has attracted a large number of sports enthusiasts to participate. This paper aims to explore the development process, characteristics, and functions of street basketball culture in China, analyze the current challenges it faces, and propose corresponding development paths. The study adopts literature analysis and logical induction methods to examine the localization process of street basketball in China. Currently, street basketball culture in China has formed unique characteristics at three levels: material, institutional, and spiritual. It plays positive roles in promoting economy, expanding education, serving as social bonds, providing platforms for expression, and complementing the national sports system. However, problems exist such as excessive commercialization of material culture, lack of standardization in institutional culture, and alienation of spiritual cultural values. Therefore, it is recommended to strengthen the construction of public basketball spaces, promote the improvement of competition management systems, and advocate healthy and upward basketball spirit, in order to facilitate the deep integration of street basketball culture with local society and achieve sustainable and highquality development. 街头篮球活动在我国的风靡，吸引了广大体育爱好者参与。本文旨在探究我国街头篮球文化的发展历程、特点及其作用，分析其当前面临的挑战，并提出相应发展路径。研究采用文献分析法、逻辑归纳法，梳理街头篮球在我国的本土化进程。目前，我国街头篮球文化已形成物质、制度与精神三个层面的独特形态，具有促进经济、拓展教育、社会纽带、提供表达平台、互补国家体育体系等积极作用，同时存在物质文化过度商业化、制度文化缺乏规范、精神文化价值异化等问题。因此，建议加强公共篮球空间建设、推动赛事管理体系完善、弘扬健康向上的篮球精神，以促进街头篮球文化与本土社会深度融合，实现可持续、高质量发展。
