Abstract:
High-quality English courses for graduate students studying in China are not only attractive to students, but also one of the main ways to train graduate students. From the perspective of students, based on the 3P teaching model of Biggs, this paper studies the influencing factors and their relationship between the influencing factors and the relationship between the English course experience of graduate students studying in China, constructs an analytical framework for the experience of English courses for graduate students studying in China, and designs an interview outline. The coding analysis of the interview data of 17 graduate students studying abroad in H University found that the five factors influencing the English course experience of graduate students studying in China were English course learners, local English teachers, English course design, campus learning environment, and course learning gains. It can improve the satisfaction of international students in China by stimulating the motivation of graduate students studying in China for in-depth learning, optimizing English courses to serve scientific research and employment, creating an international campus atmosphere, and building an evaluation and teaching system for English courses in colleges and universities.
来华留学研究生高质量英文课程既具备重要的招生吸引力,也是培养留学研究生的主要途径。从学生视角出发,基于Biggs的3P教学模型,对来华留学研究生英文课程体验的影响因素及其作用关系开展研究,搭建了来华留学研究生英文课程体验分析框架,设计了访谈提纲。对H大学17名留学研究生的访谈资料进行编码分析,发现英文课程学习者、本土英文授课教师、英文课程设计、校园学习环境、课程学习收获是影响来华留学研究生英文课程体验的五大因素。可从激发来华留学研究生深层学习动力、优化英文课程服务于科研与就业、营造国际化校园氛围、构建高校英文课程评教体系等方面提升来华留学研究生英文课程体验的满意度。
