• Abstract: This paper examines the presence and absence of articles in Chinese and Western linguistic cultures, with a focus on their influence on cognitive patterns. In Western languages (e.g., English), the use of articles enhances expressive precision through difference between generic and specific references, reflecting the Western cultural emphasis on logicality. Conversely, the lack of articles in Chinese requires dependence on contextual relations and syntactic order for information specification, demonstrating the holistic and adaptive thinking characteristi c of Eastern traditions. By analyzing contrasts in article usage, this study investigates how such linguistic disparities shape language acquisition, cognitive processing, and cross-cultural interaction among learners. The research aims to facilitate intercultural understanding and pedagogical innovation in language education. 本论文旨在探讨冠词在中西语言文化中的存在与缺失及其对思维方式的影响。西方语言（如英语）中，冠词通过明确区分泛指与特指，增强语言表达的精确性和逻辑性，反映了西方文化注重细节和明确界定的思维特点。与此相对，汉语中缺乏冠词，需依靠语境和词序传达特定信息，体现了东方文化更为灵活和整体的思维方式。本文通过分析中西冠词使用的差异，探讨这种差异如何影响两种文化中语言学习者的思维模式、语言理解和跨文化交流，旨在促进语言教育中的跨文化理解与沟通。
