• Abstract: This paper focuses on the oral history research of inheritors of the Tujia Hand-Waving Dance in Enshi Prefecture. As a national-level intangible cultural heritage, the living transmission of the Hand-Waving Dance relies crucially on its inheritors. The study begins by reviewing the origin and development of oral history methodology and its application in sports intangible cultural heritage research. It then analyzes the structure of Hand-Waving Dance inheritors in Enshi Prefecture (predominantly mid-to-low level) and its diverse modes of transmission, pointing out the current lack of systematic and comprehensive oral history collection efforts targeting these inheritors. The article elaborates on the multiple values of conducting this oral history research: preserving living skills and rituals, excavating deep cultural connotations, reconstructing cultural subjectivity and discourse power, providing unique academic perspectives, and fulfilling the duty of salvage preservation. Finally, strategies for advancing the research are proposed: establishing an ethics-first principle, promoting transcription standardization, constructing a digital humanities archive, and implementing a collaborative talent cultivation plan, aiming to provide support for the sustainable preservation and in-depth study of the Hand-Waving Dance. 本文聚焦于恩施州土家族摆手舞传承人的口述史研究。摆手舞作为国家级非物质文化遗产，其活态传承核心在于传承人。研究首先梳理了口述史方法的源流及其在体育非遗研究中的应用。进而分析了恩施州摆手舞传承人结构（以中低级别为主）与多元传承样态，指出当前缺乏系统、全面的传承人口述史采集工作的现状。文章重点阐述了开展此项口述史研究的多重价值：保存活态技艺与仪式、挖掘深层文化内涵、重构文化主体话语权、提供独特学术视角以及履行抢救性保护职责。最后，提出了推进研究的策略：确立伦理先行原则、推动转录标准化、构建数字人文档案库及实施协同育人计划，以期为摆手舞的可持续保护与深入研究提供支持。
