• Abstract: As an officially sanctioned Chinese journal dedicated to the overseas translation of Chinese literature, Chinese Literature Today represents more than mere linguistic transfer; it serves as a vital medium for constructing China’s external discourse system. From the perspective of “institutional translation”, this article examines how Chinese Literature Today actively shapes the international image of “Chinese literature” and constructs its own literary discourse for a global readership. Through an analysis of the journal’s column configuration, text selection, and the organization and management of its translation processes, the study explores the journal’s role in facilitating Chinese literature’s engagement with and contribution to the world literary narrative. 《今日中国文学》作为中国官方主导的文学外译期刊，其翻译实践不仅是语言转换行为，更是国家对外话语体系构建的重要媒介。在“机构翻译”视角下，本文将通过分析该期刊的栏目设置、翻译选材及翻译的组织与管理，探讨《今日中国文学》如何主动塑造“中国文学”的国际形象，对外构建自身的文学话语体系，进而助推中国文学参与并构建世界文学叙事。
