Abstract:
The Role of Labor in the Transition from Ape to Human is a classic text that systematically traces the dynamic development of the category of labor and embodies rich ideas on labor education. The ontological dimension highlights the core proposition that labor creates human beings themselves; the cognitive dimension reveals labor’s role in advancing human intellectual development; the social dimension consolidates the realistic foundation for labor to construct social relations and promote social collaboration; the value dimension emphasizes that the purposiveness and creativity of labor manifest the essential powers of humanity; the ecological dimension stresses that labor must conform to the laws of nature to achieve harmony between humans and the natural world; and the historical dimension clarifies that labor is inherently historical and developmental. In light of the requirements for developing labor education in the new era, the labor education thought in this work offers important insights for promoting the high-quality development of contemporary labor education: consolidating the foundation for inheriting the nation’s spirit of labor and seizing the essential meaning of labor education in the new era; taking the needs of contemporary development as a guide to steer the innovation of labor education; responding to the emergence of new-quality productive forces and assuming the mission of ecological enlightenment through labor education; and focusing on cultivating young people’s sense of social responsibility so as to give full play to labor education’s core role in nurturing people.
《劳动在从猿到人的转变中的作用》作为一部系统梳理劳动范畴动态发展轨迹的经典篇目,蕴含丰富的劳动教育思想:本体论维度彰显劳动创造人本身的核心要义,认知维度揭示劳动对人的智力发展的推动作用,社会维度筑牢劳动构建社会关系、促进社会协作的现实根基,价值维度凸显劳动的目的性与创造性是人的本质力量的体现,生态维度强调劳动需遵循自然规律、实现人与自然和谐,历史维度则明确劳动具有历史性与发展性的本质特征。结合新时代劳动教育的发展要求,《劳动在从猿到人的转变中的作用》中的劳动教育思想为当代劳动教育高质量发展提供重要启示:筑牢民族劳动精神传承之基,把握新时代劳动教育发展要义;以时代发展需求为航标,引领劳动教育创新方向;顺应新质生产力发展之势,担当劳动教育生态启蒙使命;聚焦青少年社会责任使命培育,发挥劳动教育核心育人功能。
