• Abstract: Forging a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation is crucial to promoting the common progress of all ethnic groups, serves as the consistent core thread of ethnic work, and is an inevitable requirement for realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Accurately grasping the theoretical cornerstone of forging the Chinese nation community from the perspective of historical materialism, understanding the developmental process of the sense of community for the Chinese nation from “being-in-itself, self-consciousness and self-strengthening to being-foritself ”, and actively exploring paths to steadily advance common prosperity, improve the governance of ethnic affairs, and deepen cultural exchanges and mutual learning will help enrich and develop the theoretical system of the sense of community for the Chinese nation, and provide practical references for solving realistic ethnic problems, safeguarding ethnic unity and national reunification. 铸牢中华民族共同体意识是推动各民族携手共进的关键所在，是民族工作一以贯之的核心主线，也是实现中华民族伟大复兴的必然要求。准确把握历史唯物主义视域下铸牢中华民族的理论基石，了解中华民族共同体意识“自在—自觉—自强—自为”的发展进程，积极探索扎实推进共同富裕、完善民族事务治理、深化文化交流互鉴路径，有助于丰富和发展中华民族共同体意识的理论体系，为解决现实民族问题、维护民族团结和国家统一提供实践路径参考。
