A Study of the Metaphorical Frames in Cultural Construction Discourse

• Abstract: This paper selects discourse on cultural construction from the publicly available book. Using conceptual metaphor theory and framing theory as the theoretical framework, and a combination of quantitative and qualitative analysis as the method, it explores the cognitive metaphorical framing patterns underlying thought on cultural construction. The study identifies fifteen metaphorical frames within the discourse. High-frequency metaphors primarily include Journey, War, and Flora Growth, which correspond to the directional, combative, and life-like dimensions of cultural construction. The twelve remaining lower-frequency metaphors—covering Human, Architecture, Sound, Life, Artifact, River, Article, Nature, Difficulty, Light, Disease, and Color—serve to supplement and extend the semantic scope of the discourse. Analysis reveals that these metaphorical frames are not isolated but form an integrated cognitive network structured around four central axes: Direction—Life—Struggle—Generation. This network reflects the underlying logic of cultural construction thought: culture is conceptualized as an organic system endowed with guidance, vitality, dynamic tension, and creative generativity. Through the systematic integration of metaphors, the discourse achieves a deep fusion of political ideology and cognitive representation. This study contributes to metaphor research in political discourse and provides new insights into the cognitive foundations and value-oriented pathways of cultural constructions. 本文基于概念隐喻理论与架构理论，从认知语言学视角对文化建设话语的隐喻架构进行系统研究。研究通过定量与定性结合的方法识别出15种隐喻架构，发现高频隐喻主要包括旅程、战争与动植物（生长）三类，分别对应文化建设的方向性、斗争性与生命性；中低频隐喻则涵盖人类、建筑、声音、生命、器物、河流、文章、大自然、困难、光、疾病与颜色等，补充并扩展了文化话语的语义空间。进一步分析表明，这些隐喻并非孤立存在，而是形成了以“方向-生命-斗争-生成”为主轴的整合性认知网络。该网络揭示了文化建设思想的深层逻辑：文化被认知为一个具有方向引领、生命延续、张力推动与创造生成特征的有机体系。通过隐喻的系统整合，文化建设话语实现了政治理念与认知表达的深度融合。本文的研究不仅丰富了政治话语的隐喻学研究，也为理解文化建设的认知基础与价值路径提供了新的视角。
