• Abstract: Case teaching is one of the main teaching methods for professional degree postgraduates, and the construction of case database is the key factor to ensure the expected effect of case teaching. On the basis of analyzing the current situation of domestic and foreign case database construction, the necessity of the construction of resource and environment (geological engineering) professional case database is emphasized, and the content and results of the case database of the course “Progress in Hydrogeology, Engineering Geology and Environmental Geology” are introduced, so as to provide reference for high-quality graduate education in curriculum construction of teaching cases and the improvement of education quality. 案例教学是专业学位硕士研究生的主要教学方法之一，而案例库建设是保障案例教学取得预期效果的关键因素。在分析国内外案例库建设现状的基础上，强调资源环境（地质工程）硕士专业学位案例库建设的必要性，介绍了“水工环地质进展”课程的案例库内容和取得的效果，为研究生教育优质课程建设中教学案例的构建和教育质量提升提供借鉴。
