• Abstract: The process of ideological and political education for freshmen in colleges and universities is an important stage for freshmen to buckle the “first button” of life, which is directly related to the follow-up ideological and political education effects of college students. Taking × College of × School as an example, this paper analyzes the deficiencies of the ideological and political education for freshmen in × College of × School at present, and puts forward countermeasures to improve the ideological and political education for freshmen in colleges and universities, so as to provide reference for colleges and universities to give full play to the functions of ideological and political education for freshmen. 高校新生入学思想政治教育过程，是为新生扣好人生“第一颗扣子”的重要阶段，直接关系到高校大学生后续的思想政治教育效果。本文以×校×学院为例，分析了目前×校×学院高校新生入学思想政治教育工作尚存在的不足，并针对性地提出改进高校新生入学思想政治教育工作的对策，为高校充分发挥新生入学思想政治教育功能提供参考。
