  • Abstract: In current undergraduate education of traditional Chinese medicine, there is a notable disconnect between theoretical learning and clinical practice, particularly evident in the insufficient ability to apply classical texts such as “The Yellow Emperor’s Inner Canon” and “Treatise on Cold Damage” to guide clinical diagnosis and treatment. This study implemented a teaching reform based on the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) concept in the undergraduate education of the Nephrology Department at the First Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. A closed-loop model of “design - implementation - evaluation” was adopted to enhance students’ ability to apply TCM classics in guiding the clinical diagnosis and treatment of kidney diseases. After the implementation of the teaching reform, students demonstrated a significant and positive trend in improvement regarding the core clinical competency indicators of applying classical Chinese medicine texts for syndrome differentiation and treatment of kidney diseases, as well as formulating principles, methods, prescriptions, and medications. This model successfully constructs a closed-loop chain for ability cultivation, providing a new paradigm for the reform of clinical teaching in traditional Chinese medicine. 当前中医本科教育中的学生理论学习与临床实践脱节问题突出,尤其在运用《黄帝内经》《伤寒论》等中医经典指导临床诊疗方面能力明显不足。本研究在天津中医药大学第一附属医院开展中医肾病科的本科教育时,实施了一项基于OBE理念的教学改革。采用“设计—实施—评估”的闭环模式,以提升学生运用中医经典指导肾病临床诊疗能力。教学改革实施后,学生在运用中医经典进行肾病辨证论治、制定理法方药这一核心临床能力指标上,呈现出显著且积极的提升趋势。该模式成功构建了能力培养的闭环链条,为中医临床课程教学改革提供了新范式。
