  • Abstract: Against the background of the new era, higher education aims to cultivate interdisciplinary talents with both solid professional competence and profound sense of patriotism and responsibility for the country. As a crucial professional basic course for civil engineering majors in application-oriented undergraduate colleges and universities, “Structural Mechanics” is characterized by strong theoretical nature, high difficulty and low learning initiative of students. Therefore, it is particularly important to implement ideological and political education in the curriculum to enhance students’ cognitive understanding of the course and guide them to develop a positive learning attitude. This paper explores and practices the ideological and political education model of “Structural Mechanics” from the aspects of curriculum objectives, ideological and political elements in the curriculum, education schemes, teaching design methods and assessment mechanisms. It aims to enhance students’ sense of responsibility and patriotism, help them establish a correct outlook on life and values, so as to create an innovative pattern of undergraduate teaching of “Structural Mechanics”, form a teaching system focusing on the cultivation of applied talents’ practical abilities, improve the teaching quality of “Structural Mechanics”, and cultivate a new generation of college students who meet the requirements of society. 新时代背景下的高等教育,旨在培养兼具扎实专业能力与深厚家国情怀的复合型人才。作为应用型本科院校土木工程专业非常重要的一门专业基础课,“结构力学”具有理论性强、难度较大、学生学习主动性弱等特点,因此通过实施课程思政教育,提高学生对课程的认知、端正学习态度显得非常重要。本文从课程目标、课程思政元素、课程思政教育方案、课程思政教学设计方法、课程思政考核机制等方面,对“结构力学”课程思政教育模式进行探索与实践,旨在增强学生的责任心和家国情怀,帮助学生树立正确的人生观和价值观,从而打开“结构力学”本科教学的创新格局,形成注重应用型人才能力培养的教学体系,提高“结构力学”教学质量,培养出符合社会要求的新一代大学生。
