• Abstract: Colleges and universities shoulder the historical mission of developing and utilizing red archive resources. As the main front of national education, they play an irreplaceable role in “preserving history, assisting governance, and educating people”. Based on the investigation of the construction of the “Museum of the History of Firearms Development” in Jiangsu Police College, this paper focuses on the threefold model of building a professional museum by virtue of the college’s characteristic advantages. On this basis, it explores the relevant red archive materials that take firearms as the carrier and contain the original aspiration and mission, develops and utilizes them with high quality, activates the spiritual energy of red archives, integrates the red gene into the spiritual blood of the Chinese nation, and demonstrates its unique value in strengthening national defense education, maintaining national security, and promoting the fighting spirit. Finally, it explores the university model for the development and utilization of red archive resources, so as to draw tremendous strength for gathering forces to achieve the second centenary goal and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation on the new journey. 高校肩负着红色档案资源开发利用的时代重任，作为国家教育的主阵地，其发挥“存史资政育人”的作用无可替代。本研究基于对江苏警官学院“枪械发展史博物馆”建设的考察，聚焦学院依托特色优势创建专业化博物馆的三重模式，在此基础上挖掘以枪械为载体、蕴含初心使命的相关红色档案资料，通过高质量开发利用，激活红色档案的精神能量，使红色基因融入中华民族精神血脉，彰显其在强化国防教育、维护国家安全及弘扬斗争精神方面的特有价值，最终探寻红色档案资源开发利用的高校模式，为新征程上凝心聚力实现第二个百年奋斗目标和中华民族伟大复兴汲取磅礴伟力。
