Abstract:
Social transformation since the reform and opening-up has profoundly reshaped public psychology. Consequently, the evolution of college students’ career value orientations has emerged as a crucial micro-window reflecting macro-societal shifts. Based on core journal literature from CNKI (2005-2025), this paper utilizes CiteSpace software to construct knowledge maps, exploring the research hotspots and evolutionary logic within this field. The findings indicate that the publication volume exhibits a wave-like evolution and is currently stabilizing, yetcross-regional collaboration among scholars remains relatively loose. Research hotspots primarily focus on group disparities in career orientations, internal psychological mechanisms, and career intervention strategies. Furthermore, the research perspective is gradually deepening from early “status-quo investigations and phenomenon descriptions” to “multidimensional attributions and mechanism explanations”. Notably, recent social mentalities, such as the “stability-seeking” trend triggered by a complex employment environment, have profoundly influenced the career logic of the youth. Future studies urgently need to break down disciplinary boundaries and promote indigenous original theoretical construction alongside longitudinal tracking surveys, thereby providing scientific support for university employment guidance and the cultivation of positive social mentality in the new era.
