Abstract:
As mobile internet deeply integrates into campus life, college students’ social interaction patterns are rapidly shifting from traditional face‑to‑face communication to screen‑based interaction. While this transformation enhances communicative efficiency, it also profoundly reshapes the ways in which young people express, understand, and connect emotionally, thereby posing potential challenges to the educational effectiveness of higher education institutions’ approach of “educating through emotions”. Based on Marxist theory of human all‑round development and communication alienation, and integrating analytical tools from media ecology and interaction ritual chain theory, this paper systematically compares the structural differences in emotional transmission between face‑to‑face and screen‑to‑screen social interaction modes, reveals the deep impact of emotional dilution and weakened empathy in digital social interaction on college students’ value identification and collective belonging, and puts forward corresponding ideological and political guidance strategies, with the aim of providing theoretical references and practical pathways for ideological and political education in the digital age.
