• Abstract: The loss of faith in the contemporary seems to have become an indisputable fact, but also caused a wide range of social concern. Endless material needs not only alienate people, make people fall into the trap of egoism, sensualism and consumerism, distort people's social nature, but also cause great pressure on the ecological environment, make the living environment of human beings increasingly pollution and deterioration, make the sustainable development of human beings seriously hindered. At the root of it is that in the development of human history, faith has become indifferent, or material enjoyment has become the primary faith. This paper takes the essence of moral belief as the starting point, discusses how moral belief is possible and how to rebuild it in contemporary real life, and hopes that in any case, people can play the role of moral purification, self-policing, introspection and self- discipline. 信仰失落在当代似乎已经成为一个不争的事实，更是引起了社会各界 的广泛关注。无尽的物质需要不但异化了人，使人陷入利已主义、感官主义和 消费主义的陷阱，扭曲了人的社会本性，而且给生态环境造成了巨大的压力， 使人类生存环境日益污染和恶化，使人类的可持续发展受到严重阻碍。究其根本， 是人类在其历史的发展中冷漠了信仰，或曰物质的享受成为首要的信仰。本文 则以道德信仰的本质为切入点，探讨了在当代现实生活中道德信仰何以成为可 能及其怎样重建信仰，并希望在任何情况下，人们都能发挥道德净化思想的作用， 自警、自省、自律，不致偏离正确的人生轨道。
