Abstract:
This paper presents a case report of psychological counseling for a junior student in a private college using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and explored the possibility of enhancing their sense of happiness. The client experienced significant anxiety, depression, and irritability due to interpersonal relationships, academic performance, employment, and family conflicts, and presented symptoms such as difficulty falling asleep and early awakening. Their overall sense of happiness was low, and they lacked a sense of meaning and direction in life. Guided by functional contextualism and relational frame theory, ACT was applied to help the client transform from a “rigid conceptual self ” and “negative cognitive fusion” to “value-oriented committed action”. After 20 counseling sessions, the client’s anxiety and depression levels significantly decreased, multiple happiness improved, and the client gradually felt the meaning of life, his family relationships also improved. This case indicates that ACT can effectively help this private college student enhance his sense of happiness.
本文应用接纳承诺疗法(ACT)对一名民办高校大三学生进行心理咨询,探讨该疗法对提升其幸福感的作用。来访者因人际交往、学业、就业及家庭矛盾产生了明显烦躁、焦虑及抑郁情绪,并出现入睡困难、早醒等症状,综合幸福感水平较低,缺乏人生意义感和方向感。在功能语境主义与关系框架理论的指导下,运用接纳承诺疗法帮助来访者从“僵化的概念自我”及“负面认知融合”状态,转向了“以价值为导向的承诺行动”。经20次咨询干预,来访者焦虑、抑郁水平显著下降,综合幸福感提升,逐渐建立人生意义感,家庭关系也有所改善。本案例表明,ACT对提升本例民办大学生的幸福感具有积极效果。
