• Abstract: The Chinese-English translation of long sentences has always been the difficulty of MTI translation teaching. Through analysis of problems and confusions faced by MTI students in such translation practice, this paper attempts to discuss, from the perspective of discourse linguistics, about discourse factors that may influence the arrangement of the theme and rheme within a long sentence. And a guiding framework for C-E long sentence translation has been proposed by incorporating those factors. 长句汉英翻译一直是翻译教学的难点，本文立足翻译硕士生在长句汉译英实践过程中遇到的问题与困惑，结合语篇语言学对个中的翻译问题进行了分析，梳理了语篇中影响长句主位、述位信息安排的多种因素，并在此基础上提出了语篇翻译视角下长句汉译英的指导模型。
