理雅格英译《论语》中“仁”字物性角色分布

• Abstract: Legge is a famous missionary in the west and his understanding of Confucianism is worth exploring. With The Analects of Confucius translated by Legge as the research object, this study attempted to construct the qualia structure of the character “ren” which appears most frequently in The Analects of Confucius and further investigate the distribution of different qualia roles. The achieved results show that in Legge’s translated version, evaluation role takes the largest proportion and all of them are positive, which indicates that Legge shares some consensus with Chinese philosophy. However, the lack of telic role also reflects that the mission of Legge, a missionary, is to propagate western ideas in China. Additionally, the factors that influence Legge’s attitude were studied with the hope to provide new ideas for sinology research and enhance the applicability of qualia structure. 理雅格（Legge）是西方著名的传教士，其对中国儒家哲学的识解是一个重要的研究课题。本文以理雅格英译《论语》为研究对象，构建《论语》中出现次数最多的“仁”字的物性结构，罗列“仁”字物性结构中物性角色分布情况。研究表明，在理雅格英译《论语》中，“仁”字的评价角色出现次数最多，且均为积极正面的评价内容，这表明理雅格对中国儒家哲学具有一定的认可。但是，物性角色中功用角色的缺失也反应了理雅格作为传教士来华宣传西方思想的任务。在此基础上，本文尝试讨论了影响理雅格态度的因素，以期为海外汉学研究提供新的思路并增强物性结构理论的应用性。
