• Abstract: The educational practice of excellent traditional Chinese culture has a long history. Political enlightenment is conducive to the individual development of children and adolescents as well as the development of social politics. To deepen political enlightenment education for children and adolescents, it is necessary to inherit and carry forward excellent traditional Chinese culture. Excellent traditional Chinese culture and political enlightenment have potential interactive value, including common research objects, intercommunicating theoretical foundations, and integrated social research hotspots. In excellent traditional Chinese culture, Confucianism advocates the concepts of “benevolence” and “honesty”; Taoism emphasizes the ideas of “harmony between man and nature” and “ecological protection”; and Buddhism attaches importance to the views of “birth, aging, illness and death” and “the law of cause and effect”. In the new era, in the practice of political enlightenment education for children and adolescents, excellent traditional Chinese culture has unique contributions in ideological and moral values. 中华优秀传统文化的教育实践源远流长，政治启蒙有助于少年儿童个人全面发展和社会政治发展。深化少年儿童政治启蒙教育必须继承和发扬中华优秀传统文化。中华优秀传统文化与政治启蒙具有互动的潜在价值，包含共同的研究对象、互通的理论基础和交融的社会研究热点。中华优秀传统文化中，儒家提倡“仁爱”“诚信”理念，道家强调“天人合一”“生态环保”观念，佛家重视“生老病死”“因果律”看法。在新时代，培育少年儿童政治启蒙教育实践，中华优秀传统文化具有独特的思想道德价值贡献。
