Abstract:
From the perspective of core competencies education, the effective integration of English picture book with primary school English textbooks represents a key pathway for optimizing the selection and organization of instructional content. To address common challenges in current primary English teaching, such as over‑reliance on textbooks, inflexible teaching models, and insufficient resource integration, this integrated approach should follow four guiding principles: thematic coherence, simultaneous development of language and thinking skills, student‑centered and activity-driven learning, and complementarity between in-class and after-class learning. Drawing on teaching examples of primary English textbooks from the Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press edition and the multi-dimensional reading picture book, this paper proposes four specific integration strategies: building a knowledge association system through in‑depth text interpretation, fostering thinking skills to promote language and cognitive development, designing inquiry‑based activities that highlight student agency, and coordinating in‑class and out‑class time and space to integrate learning resources. These strategies offer practical lesson models and implementation suggestions for primary English teachers.
核心素养导向下,英文绘本与小学英语教材的有机融合是优化教学内容选择与组织的重要路径。针对当前小学英语教学中存在的教材依赖、教学模式单一及资源整合不足等问题,融合教学需遵循主题意义统领、语言学习与思维共同发展、学生主体与活动驱动、课内与课外互补四项基本原则。结合外研版教材与多维阅读绘本的教学实例,从深度解读文本构建知识关联体系、关注思维训练促进语言与认知发展、设计探究活动凸显学生主体、统筹课内外时空整合学习资源四个维度提出具体融合策略,为小学英语教师提供可参考的融合课例与实施建议。
