Abstract:
Objective: To evaluate the effect of a 9-week continuous group psychological counseling course on the mental health of college students and to explore its promotion path. Methods: A mixed-methods research design was employed. Thirty-six students enrolled in the course at a university in Guangdong Province completed quantitative pre- and posttest assessments (using the Group Belonging Scale, Self-Esteem Scale, etc.) and a qualitative satisfaction survey after the course. Quantitative data were analyzed using paired sample t-tests, and qualitative feedback was analyzed thematically. Results: Quantitative results showed that participants’ sense of group belonging (t= -4.216, p< 0.001, Cohen’s d =0.703) and self-esteem level (t= -3.346, p= 0.002, Cohen’s d =0.558) improved significantly in the post-test. The total posttest score on the Personal Growth Scale (M=257.7) was high. Thematic analysis of qualitative feedback identified four positive themes: “deepened self-cognition,” “acquisition of emotional support,” “positive interactive experience,” and “enhanced sense of self-worth.” Conclusion: Continuous group psychological counseling can effectively improve the core psychological qualities of college students and received high subjective approval. Based on this, a “point-surface combination” promotion path integrating “curricular popularization” and “project-based cultivation” is proposed.
目的:评估9周连续性团体心理辅导课程对大学生心理健康的促进效果,并探索其推广路径。方法:采用混合方法研究设计,对广东省某高校36名选修该课程的学生进行量化前后测(团体归属感量表、自尊心量表等)及课程结束后的质性满意度调查。使用配对样本t检验分析量化数据,并对质性反馈进行主题分析。结果:量化结果显示,参与者的团体归属感(t=-4.216,p<0.001,Cohen’sd=0.703)与自尊水平(t=-3.346,p=0.002,Cohen’sd=0.558)后测得分显著提升;个人成长量表后测总分(M=257.7)处于高位。质性分析提炼出“自我认知深化”“情绪支持获得”“互动体验积极”和“价值感提升”四大积极主题。结论:连续性团体心理辅导能有效改善大学生核心心理品质,并获得高度主观认可。基于此,提出“课程化普及”与“项目化深耕”相结合的“点面结合”推广路径。
