An Educational Case Study on the Application of Yikong Skill in Rehabilitation for Stroke Patients

• Abstract: This paper presents a successful case study in which the Yikong Skill was applied to support the rehabilitation of a client with recurrent cerebral infarction. The client, a 65-year-old female, sought psychological counselling after her second stroke. A total of 29 counselling sessions were conducted, including 17 supportive interviews and 12 Yikong Skill sessions. During these sessions, the therapist addressed multiple negative symptoms experienced by the client, including: difficulty falling asleep, itching caused by bedsores, heaviness in the left side of the body due to hemiplegia, sudden trembling in the toes, anxiety about recovering quickly, frustration over slower-than-desired progress, emotional distress about her child’s impending return to the U.S., intrusive thoughts about “needing to defecate”, and negative impacts from disturbing dreams. All targeted symptoms showed significant clinical improvement, with stable and sustained therapeutic effects during follow-up. Remarkably, after just 29 sessions (completed in under one year), the client achieved a rehabilitation level comparable to what had taken seven years to attain after her first stroke. The client explicitly acknowledged the profound benefits of the Yikong Skill, even adopting a daily self-practice of “emptying the mind” (her personalised term for the mental void state in the Yikong technique). This practice contributed to substantial improvements in both her quality of life and overall physical and psychological health. 本文展示了一组运用移空技术帮助脑梗复发来访者实现康复的成功案例。来访者为女性，65岁，第二次脑梗后接受心理咨询。咨询师与来访者共开展29次咨询，其中17次为陪伴性访谈，12次为移空咨询。在移空咨询过程中，咨询师分别针对来访者的入睡困难、褥疮瘙痒、左半身偏瘫引发的沉重感、脚趾突然发抖、急于恢复健康的焦急情绪、未能如愿快速康复的挫败感、对孩子即将返回美国的不舍、难以控制的“想上大厕”念头以及不良梦境带来的影响等多种负性感受进行处理，均取得较好临床疗愈效果，后续随访显示疗效持续稳定。经过29次咨询，来访者只用不到1年时间，就达到了第一次脑梗后花费7年才实现的康复水平。来访者表示，移空咨询对自己的帮助不言而喻，甚至自己都会自主进行“放空”练习（“放空”为来访者对移空技术中心理空境的个性化称谓），其生活质量与心身健康也因此得到显著改善。
