Abstract:
This paper reports a case study of a 22-year-old female recent graduate who experienced emotional distress following a job transfer failure and an unexpected breakup, employing an 8-session Cognitive Behavioral Therapy intervention. The case utilized case conceptualization to guide the counseling process, which included information gathering and conceptualization, identifying and challenging automatic thoughts, applying problem-solving strategies, and working on intermediate and core beliefs. The results showed a significant alleviation of the client’s emotional distress, restoration of social functioning, and improvement in self-cognition and emotional regulation abilities, thereby achieving the intended counseling goals. This case demonstrates the strong applicability of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for psychological distress triggered by stressful events in the “emerging adulthood” population, offering a reference for psychological services in universities and for new employees in the workplace.
本文报告一例22岁应届女性毕业生因工作调岗失败与失恋引发情绪困扰,采用认知行为疗法进行8次干预的个案研究。咨询以个案概念化为指导,过程包括信息收集与概念化、识别与挑战自动思维、问题解决策略应用,以及针对中间信念与核心信念开展工作。结果显示,来访者情绪困扰显著缓解,社会功能恢复,自我认知与情绪调节能力提升,达到预期咨询目标。本案例表明,认知行为疗法对“成人初显期”青年群体在应激性事件下产生的心理困扰具有良好适用性,可为高校与职场新人心理服务提供参考。
