Study on Challenges and Suggestions of College English Teachers’ Professional Development

  • 摘要: 在师范类专业认证、国标与新文科背景下,高校英语教师队伍建设成为英语教育改革、英语人才培养质量的关键要素之一,而英语教师专业发展是师资队伍建设活力与成效的核心要素。在英语专业发展理论的基础上,探讨目前英语专业教师发展的困境并分析原因,最后提出以下建议:内外联动,提振教师专业发展动力;统筹规划,增强教师专业发展意识;提供多元多层次教师专业发展平台以及为高校教师减负,真正让一线英语教师潜心育人。
  • With the proposal of teacher accreditation, national criteria of teaching quality for BA programs in English as well as the New liberal art, the cultivation and professional development of English teachers enjoy enormous importance among the implementation of the above-mentioned educational reform and development. Based the theoretical and practical studies on English teachers’ professional development, he present paper aims to analyze the current challenges faced with the English teachers in universities and proposes some effective suggestions on facilitating English teachers’ professional development, which will in turn improve the quality of English talents’ cultivation.
