Abstract:
In order to adapt to the strategies of “Cultural Power” and “One Belt and One Road”, Chinese universities have the responsibility to cultivate foreign language talents that meet the demand of national strategic policies. However, the process of foreign language reform is a two-way process, including both the government’s decision guidance and the universities’ independent reform. The paper takes Peking University and Beijing Foreign Studies University as the case studies to explore the responsibility of curriculum reform of foreign language majors in universities, as well as the opportunity based on the context of “New Liberal Arts”.
