Innovation in the Teaching Method System for Business Administration Empowered by New-Generation Information Technology — An Analysis Based on the “Five Integrations” Teaching Reform Mechanism in Local Universities

• Abstract: As new-generation information technologies become increasingly integrated into enterprise operations and management, the central issue in business administration education is no longer whether digital tools should be introduced, but how a stable synergy can be established among traditional management knowledge, information technology applications, experimental and practical platforms, and value cultivation. Drawing on the teaching reform practices of the Business Administration program at Guilin University of Technology, this study examines several practical tensions in the cultivation of business administration talent in local universities, including insufficient interdisciplinary integration, fragmentation of the experimental teaching system, inadequate transformation of research resources into teaching resources, separation between virtual and real scenarios, and weak industry-education collaboration. In response, it proposes a teaching method system composed of interdisciplinary integration, research-teaching integration, virtual-real integration, industry-education integration, and knowledge-action integration. The study argues that these “five integrations” are not five parallel measures, but a progressive reform mechanism grounded in curriculum reconstruction, supported by the pedagogical transformation of research resources, carried by virtual-real scenario generation, facilitated by open platform collaboration, and oriented toward value guidance. Supported by the Management Science Experimental Teaching Center, the Enterprise Operation Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, the Modern Enterprise Operation Virtual Simulation Center, the Social Behavior Big Data Laboratory, the E-commerce Innovation Training Laboratory, and the Business Blockchain Application Experimental Platform, this mechanism forms a progressive capability-development pathway consisting of the Brainstorming Workshop, Experience Workshop, Incubation Workshop, Technology Workshop, and Research-Teaching Integration Workshop. The study provides an explanatory framework with practical relevance for innovating teaching methods in business administration programs at local universities.
